A custom oak handrail project built to wrap a second-floor loft opening and tie directly into the home's existing ladder-style stair railing. Spanning about 55 linear feet, the biggest challenge was making the transition between the loft rail and the stair rail disappear — matching rail height, profile, and spacing so the two runs read as one continuous piece rather than a stair rail with a separate loft rail bolted on. Solid oak was selected for durability and to match the home's existing woodwork.
